In just a few short hours, ANS will be launching on mainnet. To make sure you are ready, or if you have been involved in any beta testing and want to straighten things out, please follow the guide below.
Stuck Chain Fix
Those of you who already upgraded the daemon to version 0.2.5.10 and are stuck on a block please download the chain using this link: http://tiny.cc/pr5bty
After downloading please do this:
- Make sure the daemon is stopped.
- Go to the eccoin directory:
On windows: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\eccoin
On mac: <user>/Library/Application Support/eccoin - Delete every file in that directory except the wallet.dat
- Unzip the file you downloaded into it.
This fix will not work for those of you who are still in version 0.2.5.8 — you will need to upgrade. You can upgrade using Sapphire v1.0.1 but you are likely to get stuck on a Loading screen. If that happens, simply restart it and then make sure you go into the settings page to confirm you have version 0.2.5.10.
Sapphire v1.0.2 will be released as soon as possible and will address this issue.
Mandatory Upgrade
Regarding the fork that will happen in a few hours — there is no way you can lose coins. The worst that can happen (if you don’t upgrade the daemon to version 0.2.5.10) is that any coins you send out after the fork happens won’t reach the destination. The moment you upgrade to version 0.2.5.10 the coins sent that never reached their destination will still be in your wallet.
